Abstract

The article examines the most famous work of the modern classic of children's literature V. Nestayko "Bullfighters from Vasyukovka". The author's contribution to Ukrainian and World Children's literature is noted, the genre features of the work as an adventure story are highlighted, the features of the composition, chronotope and means of creating an image are revealed, the means of humor as an individual sign of the writer's style are traced. The practice of studying Nestayko's works in Ukrainian schools is considered. Materials for the study of V. Nestayko's story "Bullfighters from Vasyukovka" in schools with Ukrainian language teaching have been selected.
