The object of the present study is the psychological plan of an artistic discourse. The choral work Farewell by Vlad Mircos, on famous lyrics of Pastel by George Bacovia is namely analyzed.
The subject under discussion is the musical transfiguration phenomenon of the poetic text from the perspective of psychological weight of the artistic message on the emotional dramaturgy line of the creation in question.
The proposed analysis confirms once again that arts and psychology are not only two complementary disciplines, but they also are areas-sisters. A creation of arts, especially, like music and literature where the artistic content has a dynamic and procesual (movement in time) character, is presented, at the same time, as a clear psychological discourse. However the nature of music (including poetry, through its movement-rhythmicity etc.) and the nature of human psychic functioning (mental processes) are based on the same principles. For this reason, audible arts (music and poetry), built under the cosmic laws of harmony, order, balance, perfection, rhythmicity and so on, becomes one of the most efficient means in terms of its application in solving various problems related to the discord, the mental disintegration, contributing substantially to the Ego harmonization and to its centering on the spiritual health axis.
