The social representations have always constituted an important factor in the process of shaping and promoting the leaders. If it were possible that these representations reduced substantially or vanished at all at a given moment, the masses would surely fall into a state of alert. In these circumstances they would not know whom to follow and whom to entrust their destiny to. Taking as a start point the desideratum that the social representations constitute the expression of a mechanism of fabrication of agents of the power, the present study tries to establish the role that the axiological profile of the collectivities plays in this context. Taking into consideration important investigational data, it shows that this profile is actually the main guide mark on which depends the making of decisions concerning the acceptance or the nonacceptance of a certain leader or leading style.
