dc.description.abstract | In this article, we present the results of the investigation carried out in industrial conditions, in which glass containers have been subjected to thermochemical treatment with fluorine- and chlorine-containing gaseous reagents. We analyzed the changes in mechanical strength, microhardness, thermal stability and chemical resistance of glass containers. Difluorodichloromethane, difluorochloromethane solution of hydrofluoric acid and ammonium fluoride have been used in the experiments. We have developed two regimes of thermochemical treatment to improve the physical and chemical properties of glass containers. Additionally, we discuss the possible mechanisms of changing the composition and structure of surface layers of container glass subjected to treatment with fluorine- and chlorine-containing reagents. | en |
