The effects of migration upon the development of labour market [Articol]

Abstract

Labour migration is one o f the main factors that shape economic, social and political in Moldova. Despite two decades o f experience o f migration, illegal migration from Moldova remains a problem. If the departure and arrival are legal, many Moldovans remain in host countries after the legal deadline. Rarely migrants can benefit from training, such as specialized courses, business courses or university education. Migrants often do not know that there is an official Moldovan organization that represents their interests instead o f migraţie. Migration has a positive influence through: the use o f money transfers (remittances) with positive effect on the living standards o f those left in the country, the return o f a better skilled workforce and entrepreneurship; depression unemployment on the labor market.
