The article deals with the problem of organizing the leisure of children with psycho-physical disabilities in the family. Views of research on the problem of children's leisure are shown, its importance in the development of children with special educational needs. The analysis of types of leisure activities in the family is given, problems of its optimization for the full development of the child are revealed. Particular attention is paid to the partnership of the educational institution and the family in the organization of children's leisure.
