Abstract

In 2011, on May 14, on Europe Day, the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova inaugurated the European Union Information Center at the USARB Scientific Library. The Center offers a collection of printed documents, online services of the Publications Office of the European Union, assistance on research in various areas of life, issues related to EU activities, continent evolutions and general evolution of Europe, electronic access to EU databases. For 8 years, the EU Information Center provides access to economic, political, sociological, legislative information to all members of the community. And other information products across the spectrum of European Union activity and European development policy. The author of the article answers some important questions:What does the European Union Information Center propose for students and academic staff of USARB? Which information services are available to visitors to the EU Information Center? Why should the US-ARB academic community use the documents of the EU Information Center?
