The author of the work regard the problem of the ethno-cultural development of children in the conditions of pre-school institutions of the Republic of Moldova. The paper highlights the main directions of ethno-cultural development of children and it shows the role of folk jokes in the ethnopedagogization of the educational environment. Particular attention is paid to the disclosure of the technique of use folk jokes in the pedagogical process, the development of children's sense of belonging to the cultural heritage of his nation.
