The principle of internalization of music, developed by the scientist and musicologist I. Gagim, may be considered as one of the most fundamental in the modern musical education, in particular, in the development of musical thinking in students. In his works, I. Gagim justifies its use from the philosophical, musicological, psychological and pedagogical perspectives. This article examines various approaches and methods of developing musical thinking in musical students. Additionally, it emphasizes some other principles, developed by several prominent scientists. Based on these principles, we analyze certain methods of developing musical thinking in students, attending the choral music course.
