Abstract:
The strategic transformations that are going on in higher education, caused by the intensifying demands of the labour market, request a competent approach in training future economists. The competent approach has pedagogical premises both in practice and theory. Teachers have already paid attention to the evident divergence between the quality of the graduate’s training and the skills requested from the specialist in production by employers, which has a direct influence on the process of adaptation of the specialist to the working conditions. The competent approach in training economists corresponds to the contemporary direction − the strategic development of business. Developing strategies of future specialists’ professional adaptation in higher education is an instrument of realization of the competent approach, aiming at training competent and competitive specialists who will correspond to the market demands.
