A qualitative and quantitative research of the reading room collection No., the section Methodology of teaching foreign languages, covering the period from 2000 to 2011, was carried out using the bibliometric methods.The research aims to obtain data that could provide information about the features and development field collection. It was found that the small number of documents acquired during these years lead inevitably to the collection ageing and reduced the information needs of users. Although the documents regarding the teaching of English prevail in terms of quantity, their loan goes far beyond that of the documents to the French language teaching methodology, which are twice fewer but they have more intense circulation It is important to increase the number of titles in French language teaching methodology.
