dc.description.abstract The bibliometric study presents the evolution of acquisitions of fiction literature in the library collection in the period of 1990 - 2010 years which making up 17% of total units added. In electronic catalogue - OPAC are reflected 1600 titles of novels that are retrieved by subject heading and key words, the novel as a literary genre in specific field of publication type. One of 200 copies is the largest acquisition of novels found in 2010 year. The most productive publishers are : Polirom - 111 titles, Litera - 72, Humanitas - 57, Cartea românească - 25, Cartier - 16. Lending of fiction literature is 8% of the total loan of about 13 million on Library. en
