Abstract: Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that allows users to see the real physical world in an enhanced way by adding virtual elements. These elements can be displayed on screens of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This communication focuses on presenting the concept of augmented reality and how it can be used in libraries to improve services. They are proposed for the use of augmented reality tools, identifying the benefits and limitations of using augmented reality in libraries.
