Abstract

This article examines the role of collocation competence as an essential component of translation competence. It emphasizes the importance of lexical competence and the knowledge and correct use of collocations in the translation process. The theoretical insights emphasize the need for translators and interpreters to have well-founded collocation skills in order to accurately convey the nuances and idiomatic expressions of a language. These observations contribute to the further development and optimization of the translation process and underline the relevance of collocation competence for the quality and accuracy of translations. Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht die Rolle der Kollokationskompetenz als essentiellen Bestandteil der Übersetzungskompetenz. Es wird die Bedeutung der lexikalischen Kompetenz und der Kenntnis und richtiger Anwendung von Kollokationen im Übersetzungsprozess hervorgehoben.
