Collaborative learning, seen as an effective student-centred educational approach, is characterized by group work when learners join their efforts to do an assignment and learn something new. It is an active learning process where learners are motivated and self-directed to study on their own. Thus, the article aims at discussing the impact of incorporating collaborative learning in the 21st-century EFL instruction, focusing on the academic benefits that learners gain from a collaborative learning approach.en
