dc.description.abstractAlthough the concept of social entrepreneurship has been approached in economic theory and practice for several decades, nevertheless there are different acceptances of it. The given article presents a synthesis of theoretical approaches to social entrepreneurship and the characteristics of a social entrepreneur. Also, the article presents the legal framework of social enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, the main opportunities and constraints in this area. The main idea presented in the theoretical approach refers to the sustainable character of social affairs, with an impact on people, nature and the business sphere.en_US
