Abstract: In this paper we have analyzed the conceptual and empirical aspects of the possibility of ensuring sustainability in the business environment in order to quickly adapt to innovative changes that occur over time. The business environment is extremely vulnerable and it is extremely necessary to be able to adapt quickly to changes in the market in order to ensure competitiveness. Innovative change is a term analyzed in this paper and presents the source of ensuring sustainability in the business environment both nationally and internationally. The research methodology focused on the use of the following methods: analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, abduction, qualitative research. In conclusion, we can note that sustainability is a term interconnected with the term of innovative changes, and with the emergence of various changes in the market, in order to ensure sustainability the business environment must show flexibility and adaptability in the context of ensuring competitiveness.
