dc.description.abstractWaste management includes all activities of collecting, transporting, treatment, recovery and storage of waste. In this paper was analised the municipal waste management of Edinet district. Municipal waste is officially monitored in the cities of the district and in two adjacent communes. The data reveled that in urban localities the amount of generated municipal waste is higher about with 90%. An experiment on the collecting of paper and plastic waste was promoted. The research showed that in urban locality is generated by 64,7% more paper waste and by 43,3% more plastic waste, compared to the rural locality. Advantages of paper recycling have been highlighted.en_US
