Abstract: This article analyzes the specifics of studying the national piano repertoire in children's music schools. The peculiarities of the fiddle style are the basis of Moldovan piano music, where the piano imitates the orchestra with the corresponding timbre analogies.The national art models are best transmitted through the pieces, ie through the small piano works. The article includes the musicological analysis of the pieces of two Moldovan authors: Solomon Lobel ―Poem‖ and ―Bătuta‖) and Gheorghe Neaga (―Doina‖ and ―Toccata‖). These compositions are very well known in the Moldovan practice of piano studies, because in their structure predominate elements related to the traditions of fiddle technique.
