Abstract: This article focuses on the study of new texts in the methodology of teaching foreign languages. These are multimodal texts that meet the new social demands and educational needs of a new generation of students. In this context, multimodal texts include verbal and non-verbal components, the interaction of which creates a single common meaning. Special attention is paid to the study of the definitions of a multimodal text, its structure and ways of using it a foreign language class.
