Almost every human being is endowed with some degree of self-control. However, this control is very vague, because it manifests itself only as long as the being is kept within the limits of ordinary stimuli. The emotional mind operates much faster than the rational one, throwing itself into action without weighing for a moment what it does. Prolonged periods in which emotions have a high flow without an effective mediation process can become prolonged states of disorganization. Addressing psychologists to master the mechanisms of emotion regulation will lead to greater accessibility to tolerance in emotionally charged situations.e
