Abstract: The author of this paper argues that Thompson’s novels about animals are masterpieces. In his texts we can find realistic and neo-romantic features. Canadian writer was an excellent storyteller, a famous artist and zoopsychologist. Ernest Thompson was a true poet in his prose about dogs, wild animals and birds.
