| Abstract: | In this article is going to be described and analyzed the evolution and the importance of cryptocurrency and of bitcoin in particular. In recent years, crypto-currency has become a global phenomenon with explosive development. Cryptocur-rency appears as a new mechanism in the development of international monetary and financial relations. Classical currencies such as the euro, the US dollar, the Japanese yen, the Russian ruble, etc. are geographically limited in use and are linked to a single country or a community of countries. Unlike classical currency, cryptocurrency does not have geographical constraints, it can be stored online in crypto-wallets. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency created and remains the most popular, with the largest market share. It sets the standards and indicates the guidelines for all other currencies that were subsequently created. |
