Abstract: Patients diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder think that worries are synonymous with a negative thing. Throughout the therapeutic process, the psychotherapist aims to explain to the patient that worries are a common phenomenon that is characteristic of many people. Cognitive-behavioral treatment in generalized anxiety disorder displays an infringement of distorted beliefs and dysfunctional thoughts.
