The appearance of the first language prohibitions is linked to the early manifestations of various religious thoughts. The traditional taboos of mankind are the taboos of the sacred and of the impure. There are verbal taboos, as well as social taboos that might be displayed in a person’s behavior. Flouting taboos entails direct or indirect, social or cultural sanctions. What are these sanctions? What is considered to be a taboo and what becomes a norm? What are the specific language prohibitions in both societies? The paper also offers some possibilities for successfully avoiding of taboo words, wherefore it can also be a contribution for a better understanding of taboos in our own, as well as in other cultures and languages. We will attempt to answer all these questions in this research work.en
