Abstract

Centrul de Documentare ONU, instituit în anul 2001, este unul dintre compartimentele organizaționale de bază ale Bibliotecii Științifice a Universității de Stat „Alecu Russo” din Bălți. Are misiunea de a facilita și a lărgi accesul la informație, de a promova politicile, instrumentele, strategiile şi activităţile ONU în scopul cunoaşterii şi facilitării procesului de globalizare, de a contribui la accesarea operativă, evaluarea şi utilizarea publicaţiilor ONU.

The UN Information Centre is one of the basic organizational compartments of the scientific Library, „Alecu Russo” State University from Bălți, founded in 2001, the support of the United Nations Program in Moldova. This new information and counseling structure works for the academic community for 15 years, providing access to economic, political, sociological, international law and others information activity products from United Nations Organization and its Agencies. The article contains information on the constitution of the UN comprehensive collection of documents both in traditional and electronic form. It also informs on the use of this fund by organizing conferences, seminars, round tables, exhibitions, UN database presentations, scientific and educational events in the UN NORD CLUB to promote research and education in the United Nations field.
