The systematic study of philosophical thinking was the starting point for shaping the necessity, the need for philosophy in education and the publication of some reference works in the field, simultaneously with the introduction of the respective discipline as an object of study in university education. Philosophical assumptions are the exigency standards of education, under the cognitive and argumentative relation, which aims at the foundation of information and knowledge in pedagogy. The complex interpretations of the educational phenomenon indicate the multi-purpose nature of education that can not be isolated from the social and historical context of human existence. The need to explain and understand the educational phenomenon, under its various manifestations, appears as a preoccupation of the philosophy of education.en
