| Abstract: | This article touches upon the problem of identifying the characteristic features of the evaluative language speech acts, as well as defining the concept of the speech act of praise. Its distinctive features are highlighted, based on the data from Russian and foreign linguistics. It also presents a thorough analysis of the existing typologies of speech acts in the frame of "speech act theory" (SAT). |
