dc.description.abstractProcesses of electrospark method of materials surface hardening using compact and powder alloy materials are described in this work. The processes are based on impulse excitation of concentrated energy fiux on material.The paper presents some considerations concerning the durability of cutting tools. It also presents some theoretical and experimental results on the hardening by sparks of the cutting tools. The experimental results allow underlyng some thus regarding the working parameters in order to obtain controlled characteristics of the layer.en
