| Abstract: | The essay deals with the theoretical basis that forms the foundation of the French contemporary linguistic theories. It brings to light the specific features of the French treatment of semantics and its theoretical interests, explains the necessity of linguistic paradigm change, defines the general characteristics of the French semantic tradition, finds out its role in the development of modern linguistics. În acest articol este examinat fundamentul teoretic al teoriilor lingvistice franceze moderne; este evidenţiat specificul tradiţiei franceze în interpretarea semantică şi domeniile ei de interes; este explicată necesitatea modificării paradigmelor lingvistice; este stabilită trăsătura definitorie a semanticii franceze; este reliefat rolul ei în dezvoltarea lingvisticii moderne. |
