Abstract

The article “Some peculiarities of the Author’s Editing of G. Ciobanu’s works for the piano” reveals the underlying pianist idea of the works for the piano, published by the president of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Moldova in 2004. In the given collection the author, being both the editor and the first performer of his works, skilfully and originally solves a number of various tasks a pianist may face: the problems of correct intoning, shading, dynamics, pedalling, comfortable transposition of hands or music texture, frequent usage of modern performing methods such as clusters, etc. The Author’s editing of the works for the piano by G. Ciobanu in many respects facilitates the correct interpretation of the artistic concept of his works and contributes to the including of the collection into the pedagogical and interpreting practice.
