| Abstract: | Hiatus in speech occurs when the juxtaposition of syllables results in two separate vowel sounds accuring alongside one another. It represents a complex problem in a lot of languages. The article dwells on the relationship between the hiatus vowels, and sheds some light on how speakers manage hiatus contexts in different languages. |
