dc.description.abstractIn „Balkan stereotypes in The Long Shadows by Alan Brownjohn” we present some projections of Romania. We propose a detailed analysis of mental constructs space on our "cultural border”. We analyze the significance of Orientalism and Balkanism in order to achieve an ethnographic portrait of Romanians Westerners interpretation. We identify cultural stereotypes that distort cultural identity, select items of clothing as identity element border civilizations, traditional reflexes etc.en_US
