Abstract: The method of the section etching by HF solution is proposed for the analysis of the surface layers of the flat glass. We managed to work out the method of flat glass surface layers dissolution, with the thickness - from 10 nm to 10 μm and more. The graphs of the dissolution rate of industrial glass depending on different duration of one etching are analyzed. The experiments showed that the rate of dissolution of all the samples in HF solution is not stable. The article discusses the possibility to reveal the stratified structure in the flat glass with help of section etching by HF solution method.
