Abstract

In the modern world, securities market plays an important role, being a mechanism for attracting financial resources in the economy. The article starts with the definition and the main components of this market. Next, it examines the problems which impede the development of the securities market. Primary attention in this article is given to the analysis of the main trends and prospects of development of securities market in Moldova. It also studies the driving factors that may influence the securities market development, that include both positive and negative consequences for some professional participants of this market.
