dc.description.abstractThe usage of audio – visual means contribute to an active learning and to the forming of the geographical thinking; the forming of pupils’ intellectual abilities, the development of psychical/mental capacities and features, such as: motivation through stimulating the cognitive reasons or the forming of affective features which lead to cognitive satisfaction, the joy of solving the learning situations, the attraction for geography. Teachers’ continuous development in the problem of using the audio – visual means is necessary and should start in the initial stage of their formation in higher education, as for children – even in the primary stage cycle.en
